Prefer training at your location? We can bring our expertise directly to you and tailor sessions to your needs, ensuring convenience and personalized support.
Each training session is structured to keep things moving and engaging. We mix presentations, live product and tool demos, and hands-on learning throughout the day. Rather than a block of lectures followed by practice, you’ll get hands-on time as we go—making it easy to retain what you’re learning and apply it right away.
Expect a mix of classroom-style overviews and live demos. At our most recent event, presentations were given by representatives from Sol Fence, US Hammer, Northwest Quik Pull, Rhino, VEKA, Morton Solar and Electric, and others. Topics ranged from equipment operation to product-specific techniques, including solar, vinyl, aluminum, and cedar fence installation.
Both. We believe learning happens best when you see it and do it. Attendees observe demos and then get the opportunity to try installation techniques themselves with guidance from Fenceperts™—our team of expert installers.
To make the event productive and worthwhile, we recommend a minimum of 10–12 attendees for a hosted training session. That ensures enough interaction while keeping the group small enough for personalized instruction. Businesses are welcome to bring their crew(s) to train together.
Yes. For the best hands-on experience, we typically cap sessions around 25–30 participants. This ensures everyone has access to equipment and one-on-one instruction during practice.
The core curriculum stays consistent, but we customize each event based on the products featured, location, and audience. For example, the last training included solar fencing, vinyl and aluminum installation, and a range of tool demos from several manufacturers. Topics can also be tailored based on what the organizer wants to focus on during the training.
Both. New installers get foundational knowledge and hands-on practice, while experienced crews learn time-saving techniques, try new tools, and stay current on best practices.
We cover a range of materials used in No-Mess, No-Dig™ fence installation. Potential materials include solar fence, vinyl fence, ornamental aluminum fence, Modern Aluminum Series fence, cedar, and chain link. Our focus is on the materials themselves, practical installation strategies, and the tools that make the job easier.
Absolutely. Our trainings aren’t just show-and-tell. You’ll get hands-on time with tools like the US Hammer electric post pounder, the NW Quik Pull, the Rhino pounder, and more—under the guidance of manufacturer reps and seasoned installers.
We host events at our Farmington, MN and Hartford, WI locations—and we also take the show on the road. We’re equipped to deliver training anywhere in the continental United States and have also conducted training in parts of southern Canada. If you’re interested in hosting, let’s talk.
While our initial trainings have been free for attendees, they will most likely not remain so. If the event has sponsors, that may help offset costs. If you’re hosting or attending, we’ll provide details for your specific event.
We’re working on creating certificates to recognize certified No-Mess, No-Dig™ installation, Sol Fence solar fencing, and more. These credentials will help demonstrate your expertise and commitment to quality fence installation.
We’ll provide lifetime access to contractor (wholesale) pricing for fence materials purchased from A to Z Fence Supplies.
