Most frequent questions and answers
Before building your fence, you must gather the necessary vinyl fence supplies and equipment. Our vinyl order/quote form covers all the components required to construct your new vinyl fence.
In addition, you’ll also need equipment to install the posts and any necessary tools for assembly, such as a drill. You’ll need a post-pounder if using our no mess, no dig installation method. If using a traditional dig installation method, you’ll need a shovel or auger to dig holes for your posts and cement to set them in place.
Make sure you have everything on hand to build your vinyl fence before you start construction!
The vinyl fence shortage of the past couple of years has been due to a combination of factors, including post-covid supply chain disruptions and increased demand for this type of fencing. Chemical reactions involving chlorine, carbon, and ethylene (a petrol product) make vinyl (a.k.a. PVC) fence.
The good news is that the vinyl fence supplies shortage finally seems to be over – supplies have increased, and availability has become more consistent again!
The bottom rail on all our vinyl fences is a 2″ deep x 7″ tall rail. The deco pattern on the rails is attractive and adds extra support and strength to the rail.
Our vinyl posts, rails, and pickets are thicker and stronger than our competitors & big box stores. We use 0.147″ thick vinyl extrusions, and our competitors use, at most, 0.135″ thick vinyl extrusions. In addition, our rails are 2″ deep x 7″ tall, and our competitors are 1.5″ deep x 5″. A more oversized rail enables us to construct your fence with thicker, stronger pickets.
